This linocut print is my attempt to show the essential textures and colors of a mountain panorama as seen beneath a bough of over-hanging pine limbs and needles. I chose the format of a Japanese fan from the ukiyo-e artists that I so admire, particularly Edo masters Hiroshige and Hokusai.
